The Lay Fraternity of Blessed Charles de Foucauld We are a group of men and women who earnestly desire to develop our spiritual life by prayer and living the Gospel Message, whilst acknowledging our own frailt)', spiritual poverty and personal limitations. We aim to support each other on our journey. We meet monthly in each others' homes for sharing in the Word of God. We meet Him in prayer and in loving and serving Him in ALL people. We aim to live a simple life, which is an alternative to the consumer society. We spend regular time in adoring and receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, the real presence of God amongst us. We have retreat and desert days and trill to practise self-abandonment in all aspects of our daily life. Our mentor is Blessed Brother Charles de Foucauld, a Desert Father and hermit.
