Children’s Liturgy at the 9.15 am Sunday Mass (OLSG) provides appropriate catechesis for age 3-6 yrs during the Liturgy of the Word . Volunteers always required to lead or help on a rota basis. Contact : Penny Culora

Face Off (Fancy a Cracking Evening of Friday Fun),

Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust (HCPT) takes children with learning difficulties and/or disabilities on holiday to Lourdes at Easter.  Raises funds for children’s fares.

Justice & Peace Group : Meets monthly on Thursday as advertised in the Newsletter from 8.15-10pm. Works in the Parish and with other local Christians and community groups to raise awareness on justice and peace issues.  Contact : Tony Sheen

Katimavik for young adults meeting for shared prayer, and Mass on occasions,
on first Wednesday of each month, 8.15pm in the upper room of the Holy Family Convent. Contact: Denise Sheen or Mario Petrucci

Mothers & Toddlers (OLSG) offers free & easy coffee mornings allowing Mums with young children to socialise whilst their toddlers are prepared for playgroups (stories, puzzles, craft work). Meets on Wednesday during term time, 10-11.30 am, Parish Centre. Contact : Maggie Stannard

Mothers & Toddlers (OLW) meets on Tuesday, 10-11.30 am at Our Lady of Walsingham. Another group meets on Friday, 10-11.30 am. Contact :  Deirdre or Yolanda

Mount Carmel Parish Centre, is available to parishioners for private parties and celebrations. Please enquire at the    Presbytery (8363 2569) where the receptionist will take your details and arrange for the Bookings Secretary to contact you.   The licensed bar is open on Sundays after the 12.00 and 6.30pm Masses.  All parishioners, especially families, are most welcome. There is a busy social calendar all year round—see posters in the Centre for current details,

Mount Carmel Ladies’ Group : meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre.   It is open to all Ladies for mainly social activities as well as supporting Parish functions. President; Wendy Franklin Secretary: Sheila Feord Treasurer: Janet Bradshaw

Mount Carmel Pre-School: provides a wide range of organised activity for pre-school children. Contact : Miriam Fernandez (8363 5092).

Mount Carmel Youth Football Clubs:

Over 16s, play on Thursday evenings.  Kick off time ranges from 7pm-8pm.  Players of all abilities welcome.

Under 16s, play on Friday evenings.  Kick off time ranges from 6pm-8.30pm. 

Under 14s, play on Thursday evenings.  Kick off time ranges from 6pm-6.30pm.

Readers /Eucharistic Ministers Training is provided to those who have a clear
speaking voice and would like to read at Sunday Masses and other services.

Rite of Christian Inititation of Adults (RCIA) for individuals seeking Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist.  Meets each Wednesday at 8.00pm in the Presbytery.

Saturday Morning Classes provides catechesis for children who attend non-Catholic schools from the age of 5-13.  These classes are run by volunteer catechists and parents and help is required throughout the year.  Contact : Sybil Lee

Saturday Morning Coffee Shop, open from 10:00-12:00 in the Parish Centre.  Fresh coffee and home-made cakes our speciality.  Soft drinks and snacks available for children.  If you like baking and could help supply the Coffee Shop with cakes, please contact Sybil Lee Proceeds to the Nightingale Community Hospice Trust.

Scouts, 13th Enfield (Our Lady’s), open to boys and girls aged 10 1/2-15 1/2.

Sick and at home.   Relatives and friends are asked to contact the Parish Clergy to arrange home visits by the clergy or Eucharistic Ministers.  Contact : The Presbytery

Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) : Members are dedicated to visiting the sick, lonely and house-bound either at home or in hospital to minister to their spiritual and material needs. Meets alternate Tuesdays, 8.00 pm in the Presbytery.  Contact:  Fintan Gallagher

Special Needs Support Group for those with family members with special needs, disabilities and learning difficulties.  Meetings are advertised in the Parish Newsletter. Contact : Molly Mortimer

Third World in Need (TWIN) : a Charity Committee has been set up which aims to help people in developing countries, the hungry, and the victims of disaster.  Meetings are advertised in the Parish Newsletter.  Contact : Ian Berry

TOPP—UPS:  Run twice a month in the Parish centre serving snacks and light lunches, all proceeds to the Nightingale Community Hospice Trust. Contact :  Sylvia Woollard

Welcome Group : The Welcome Group meets twice yearly.  For new parishioners who would like to be invited to the next meeting please contact the Welcome Group via the presbytery.
